Look, I get that RPG Star isn't a thing you really do anymore and that open submission is kind of a pain in the butt to manage. But Tales from the Drift, while great, might be a perfect chance for newer or aspiring writers to get their chance.
Why not open up a new forum, let people post, let the readers vote, the stuff with the most upvotes above a certain threshold get an official examination, the stuff that you like, you post.
You can give people guidelines to follow but in general, all of the stories would not get to your table until the readers decide one or the other is good enough.

We don't currently have the resources to review a potentially massive number of fan-generated stories for publication, but that doesn't mean folks shouldn't still write their own flash fiction and share it here or in other venues that adhere to the Community Use Policy.
That said, if you are an established author with published sci-fi or fantasy flash fiction under your belt, feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in writing some for Paizo.
And because it must be said, we are not looking for unsolicited manuscripts at this time.

I've written books but I'm not "established" but that's not a bad idea. I'll post it to the forum.
