3 questions: armor check penalties, drawing stuff in combat, and languages / homeworlds

Rules Questions

1. As far as I can tell, Armor Check penalties do not penalize attack rolls. Is this correct?

2. Drawing things quickly, when action economy matters: do I ever need a separate action to draw a grenade in combat? I assume I don't need an action to draw a gun or knife.

3. SFS and languages. If I'm making a character for SFS using only the core, am I allowed to have my PC speak Nchaki, Arkanen, and/or Barathu? Am I allowed to have them grow up on Nchak or Osoro, and specifically are there any Shirren populations on those moons? I'd think there are Shirren on Nchak, but I don't know.

1) Armor check penalties do not apply to attack rolls

2) Drawing any weapon is a move action unless you have the Quick Draw feat. If you have a BAB of at least 1, you can combine drawing a weapon with using a move action to move.

3) Your character starts play with Common, your racial language (if any), and the language of your homeworld (if any). Nchaki, Arkanen, and Barathu are valid options in that regard.

Shirren are found all throughout the Pact Worlds

Furthermore, Nchak is the homeworld of the Trox, which are also insectile, and both Shirren and Trox have an affinity for Hylax, the Hive Queen ^_^

I recommend your character to play Enter the Ashen Asteroid.

The answer about armor check penalties is definitely correct if you are proficient with the armor. I have forgotten what penalties apply if for some reason you wear armor that you are not proficient with.

Nope, the penalty for wearing light or heavy armor you aren't proficient in is a -4 to EAC and KAC and that's it.

Powered Armor also makes you flat-footed and off-target, cuts your speed in half, and keeps you from using additional movement abilities on top of the -4 if you aren't proficient.

You also get bonus languages for ranks in culture and 1 for each INT bonus.

A high INT Operative or Mechanic can have a lot of languages

Thanks, all of you. This is great news!
