This adventures uses the same 4 wildcards for each Scenario.
I assume this replaces the requirement of the wildcards if you are playing with characters from Dragon's Demand? (i.e. 3 if you completed all of it).
You don't need the 3 plus the 4 from the AD? That will make it insane with 7 wildcards.
AD5 starts with 4 wildcards, but each scenario you play will reduce the count by 1. And yes, I would assume those wildcards would be in addition to the 3 wildcards if you're continuing characters from Dragon's Demand using the rules at the beginning of the storybook.
The scenarios are balanced assuming 4 wildcards base (then 3, then 2, then 1). If you have extra wildcards (from heroic, legendary, or coming from Dragon's Demand), you add those onto the 4.
You are definitely encouraged to look at the scenario options and start with the easiest one for you, or at least with the most benefit for success.
Looks like it has been already planned out (of course it has :) and I missed the bit where they decrease per scenario, so we will add the extra wildcards.
