Yarp.

What no nudity?

Narp.

It's too cold for that. I came in, and 2nd shift was all bundled up saying it was cold (which it was). He left, I looked and saw that all the heaters in the lobby were off, except for the one behind the desk. The one that doesn't work. So, I turned that one off, and turned the others on. Now, 90 minutes later, it is finally starting to get a little warm behind the desk, but it is still a bit chilly.

Your second shift guy is bit slow on the uptake eh?

Not usually. Maybe it was just a bad brain day for him.

Too Cold for logic this day!

IT's all mind over matter.
I don't mind and it don't matter.

I thought IT was all about turning things off and then back on again...

I literally did that tonight. I came in to work, the printer didn't want to print, so I cleared the print queue, turned the printer off, waited 30 seconds, turned it back on, and it's working fine.

Link is to my minecraft Christmas decorations I posted on reddit if anyone wants to see. here

I think my pointer finger is just so much faster then my pinky that even though They start to hit the key in the right order the pointer still wins. I blame wow and my dps rotation.

This fixes about 45% of printer problems.

(50% is user error)

You have to just call Rysky when it is Pugwampis best way to deal with them.

Or you get yourself a luck stone and play with the adorable little bastards.

Hmm seems to be a good chance that all our housekeepers but one quit.

Fun.

For the last 3 months, we've had effectively 1 housekeeper. We had 3, 1 quit, and 1 has transitioned to desk clerk 4 days a week and housekeeping 1 day a week.

We did have 5. now we have one. So on the plus side we are sold out every night because most of the rooms are getting rolled over. makes my job easier in some ways and harder in others. Mostly because not everyone rooms is getting cleaned.

Yeah, it's good until you get the people who walk in and refuse to accept that you have no rooms available because "The parking lot is f~&$ing empty!" I know it is, I told you that the reason I can't rent you a room is because we are short on housekeepers. The rooms are there, they just aren't clean. Now, I wouldn't rent you a room if I had one because your attitude is shit. F$+% off.

I just say their is a bus parked out back or something. lying to guests is always the right answer.

I've lied plenty. "There's a huge group in house, but their bus driver is staying somewhere else because his company has a special contract with a different chain." "We're painting rooms." "We're shampooing carpets" (not always a lie, but usually). "Water leak, had to shut off the water to a whole floor." "Have a big group checking in later tonight/early tomorrow morning, so the all the rooms are for them."

Very nice. Because frankly it doesn't matter why we are sold out. them knowing why doesn't help anyone.

Yep. And sometimes we're "sold out" because I don't want to sell them a room. I know it's not right, but when I hear the bass in your car from two blocks away, you pull up with eight adults in a Corolla, and I can smell the weed and beer on you before you come inside...you're not getting a room.

When I started working here my boss told me to be selective about who I let stay.

And I'm back for new years. I hate working new years. came into drive way with someone firing off fireworks. Parked and immediately threatened them with police. Freaking unbelievable.

Yeah. People suck. Of course, I would also wonder why 2nd shift wasn't doing anything about it.

Yes that thought occurred to me. I think I caught them when they launched the first one. She is way too passive and non confrontational though. Like she does a great job cleaning she is the only one I can count on to do all of her job instead of leavening it for me but she will not get in a guests face when they deserve it. So I'll take the good with the bad I guess.

The Exchange

Happy new year everyone if a bit belated. I was on my paws literally from dawn to dusk yesterday. I power walked 3 loops of the reservoir then ran 1, had lunch, then ran partially(walk only on uphill sections) the remaining two loops, pretty much covering 67km in about 12 h 10 min or so - meals and breaks included.

Hello Busy kitty.

Scarab Sages

How does Mort do with fireworks?

I ask because Mephisto doesnt care and Merah was all nerves yesterday. Poor kitty :(

I think mort is probably a skittish kitty.

The Exchange

I don't like being close to fireworks but I can admire them from afar? Anyway the problem with the ultra was that about at the halfway mark I had a sore right paw - so I couldn't run it - but still wanted to do loops around the reservoir to add to the countries tally. So I was stuck with walking the loops taking half an hour more as opposed to running after my paw recovered somewhat. And I could no longer cycle there so the commute to the reservoir took like 1.5h each way instead of 1h each way so basically I'd be adding 1.5h to my reservoir time so yeah it kinda ate into everything else, including forum posting.

The ultra was from 12 Dec to 31 Dec.

Ah I see. So very busy kitty.

The Exchange

And kitty has no job =( Because kitty was too busy running lol. But it was the most memorable year end I've ever had, doing an ultra lol=)

That is cool though. you really let the whole fitness things runaway with you. (*duh duh chi*) Glad your enjoying it. I am going to have to do some job hunting myself soon. Their is rumors about a 6 week lockdown when the new president takes office so I'm gonna wait and see don't want to be between jobs for it.

You have any possible jobs your looking into?

Ugh sold out non-sense. Why is it so busy? Usually January is our slowest month.

Dropping them facts.

It's been a weird night.

More cow girls?

I figured out what it is. Their is a freakin political rally tomorrow in GA.

So...no cow girls?

Depends on how discourteous I feel towards some of our guests.... so yes their are some cows.

That's rude. Probably correct, but rude. You should call them "Bovine Americans".

Bonivinicus Americana if you want to sound proper.

Yeah, but the pseudo-Latin will make them feel dumb. So it's best not to rile them up any more than they already will be.

Reminds me of the bobby hill meme. The one where he holds a sign to a window and then the principal says they would be real upset if they could read.
