Does dismissal/banishment send the target somewhere random on their home plane or does the caster choose? I assume the first one otherwise what's to keep the caster from banishing someone right into the heart of a star or the like?
Neither. It isn't specified, so it sends the target to its home plane (or, 20% of the time, some other plane) at whatever location the GM thinks is funniest.
