Subscription cancellations

Customer Service

Hi Paizo CS people

I’d like to organise cancellation of a few subscriptions below. For differing reasons, so I’ll include those alongside each to-be-cancelled sub.

PF Adventure Card Game – I’m not really sure what’s going on with this given the new line’s launch. I figure I’ll sit back and wait to see if it’s something I want to go ahead with (I barely played any of the old ones and ended up getting rid of all the class decks).

PF Battles – I’ve been unhappy with the inclusion of “scenery” instead of big incentives and/or regular sized monsters for quite some time and it doesn’t seem like that’s going away any time soon. I’ll probably pick up a few individual minis each launch, but I’ve got a big bucket of dungeon dressing that I never use and it feels like I’m subsidising a whole second line of minis for others, rather than getting what I wanted when I signed up for it.

Starfinder Accessories and Starfinder Roleplaying Game – I love Starfinder, but there’s one player in our group who doesn’t like it so we’re not going to use it anymore. A mounting collection of great books I'll never get to use is likely to become depressing, I think.

That should leave me on the Pathfinder side with two AP subs, the RPG sub, the Modules sub, a deluxe comics and a PF Tales.
I’ll keep the Starfinder Maps going just because. However, I suspect I’ll cancel both of the Starfinder Adventure Path subs down the track, but for now, I’ll keep those going at least to the end of the current AP.

Thanks for that – hope it all makes sense!
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for letting us know! I think it all made enough sense to get it taken care of :)

I've canceled the PF Card Game, Battles, and SF Accessories and RPG, and you should have received a confirmation email for those. The rest of your subscriptions are still going as normal.

Just let me know if there are any other tweaks you need to make and I'll be sure to get those taken care of as well. You know where to find us if you have any questions!

Thanks Katina. That sounds perfect, although I've got one issue which I suspect is a display problem.

If I go to my account, it shows all those subscriptions but also includes a Starfinder Society Subscription which I no longer need. However, if I go to my "manage subscriptions" page, that shows as inactive so I am guessing it's just a glitch (for a while I managed to trick your system into charging me for a subscription on top of the Starfinder Supersubscriber freebie - no doubt that confused things).

Anyhow - probably all good, but if you don't mind just confirming there isn't a SFS sub hiding out ready to pounce, then I'd appreciate it.

Hey Steve,

Thanks for following up! I took a look at your account, and it is showing your SFS subscription as inactive, so it shouldn't grant you any more scenarios. Is it still displaying on your end? It's possible it just needed some time to grok all the changes, so it may have caught up now. But if it's still being wonky, just let me know and I'll loop in our tech team to see what's going on.

Otherwise, you should be all set! No SFS subscription active, just the maps and adventure paths. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Katina

It's really just a cosmetic issue.

If I go to:

https://paizo.com/paizo/account

And look at the bottom right corner, I see the following subscriptions "associated with this account":

My Account Page wrote:

The following subscriptions are associated with this account:

Pathfinder Adventure Path
Pathfinder Campaign Setting
Pathfinder Comics
Pathfinder Maps
Pathfinder Modules
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game
Starfinder Adventure Path
Starfinder Maps
Starfinder Society

However, if I click the "manage subscriptions" button the SFS sub isn't showing initially (but is rather listed under the inactive subscriptions).

Ultimately, not worth bothering with unless the IT team have got some spare time, I reckon. (The other irrelevant but cosmetic "glitch" is next to my payment method - it also says altering my payment details will affect 9 subscriptions, rather than the 8 I have).

I did notice the PF:Legends and PF:Tales subscriptions are now showing as inactive. I presume that's a new, system-wide acknowledgment of publishing reality and not anything I should be worried about?
