¡Hello everyone!
The thing is im making a one shot for about six or seven players (i know, we are many but its a birthday so cant help it). The group is one of another campaign we are playing, and the master of that campaign will be a player here.
Thing is we have some newbie players in thisgroup who have some trouble roleplaying their characters so i want to make a game where they need to roleplay hard in order to defeat the villain.
So another friend of mine suggested an inmortal boss that can only be defeated if they discover the way of destroying it for good. Thing is im not sure what creature to use... first of all i has to be tough enough to endure the fire of seven players focusing him and some interesting form of fighting that doesnt make him a boring fighter.
So the first idea that comes to my mind is a lich, a problem its that those guys only regenerate in 1d10 days... i need it to be in seconds, or only become slowed while it regenerates, something like that. Other candidate is a greater shadow that after a few round regenerate and the last is a Drowning Devil, again with some form of inmortality. All of them tied to an item that functions like a phylactery.
My biggest concern is to not make a highly overpowered boss or the opposite, i need the boss to be dangerous enough to make them occupied fighting while one or two members are searching for the item.
Also for the usual encounters what sould be an appropiate fight with normal minions for a seven players party? (i think two or three of them will be optimized, the rest estandard). The scenario will be a marsh, so i thinked about fungus, mud elementals, hags maybe a fire one with the shape of a will-o-wisp.
Any ideas?
Thanks ^^
