Scales for Trelmarixian?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

In the Bible the original Horseman Of Famine has a set of scales (the kind you weigh stuff on), presumably to represent how much more expensive food has gotten. I was thinking Trelmarixian (who is the Horseman of Famine in Pathfinder) should have scales as an artifact but I'm not sure what they would do. Any ideas?

Maybe compel targets to hoard food and resources, jealously guarding them from others? This could tap into the Madness aspect of Trelmarixian, the self-defeating desperation that comes with/causes famine.

Trelmarixian isn't the original horseman in Pathfinder though, he replaced the original, and doesn't have any sort of 'scales' vibe to me.

If I wanted to include the Famine's Scales in a game, I think I would have them be connected to the original Famine.

He ate the previous Horseman though. I imagine if she had an artifact he would take it and not just discard.
