It seems that the functionality of the new(?) site is not as clean and easy to use as the former iteration. Am I missing something important.
Posts seem to disappear when I am trying to make them, or duplicate themselves for no reason.
Players in my game do not always see updated threads
Searching for older posts is much harder than I remember it used to be.
What am I doing wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong. You're just being observant.
Support for PBP seems to be waning, and was never very strong to begin with though they did some nice things with the PFS side from what I hear which is good.
But yeah, the site continues to worsen. Though the staff seems quite busy fixing bugs and other errors, the issues seem to pile up faster than they are fixed. And no new features that I can identify, though there may be something on the RSS side of things (which I don't use so can't comment on).
The staff keeps working harder, and the site continues to suffer more. I'm not sure where we'll end up, or what features we'll lose, before the reversal. Could be they just give up on the message boards someday the way they did with the PRD. Farm it out to a third party and be done with it.

Hey Terquem,
We do have a current thread addressing the post delay issue that is proving elusive to isolate what is causing the problem and any data you can provide about your experience with it is helpful and should go in that thread.
Regarding search, we are aware that the current results are frustrating to interact with. We don't currently have a replacement/improvement plan for the search features at the top of the development queue, but have it noted as an area of improvement to address.
The team is making steps forward to migrate, update, and replace some of our legacy systems, which can/has resulted in some pain points like these two items. We're working to modernize and improve the experience, but with such a vast set of features we offer on paizo.com, it's not a straightforward or overnight process. In the meantime, we will endeavor to keep the community appraised of updates through sticky threads in the Website Feedback subforum and encourage folks to report any new issues they may find.
A post has been removed and this thread has been closed for additional replies. If you have issues to report, please make a new thread for each item for our team to address. Thanks!
