A lot of APs after RiotR take place in Varisia. Assuming I want to later run more of these APs with the same group of players, what easter eggs, rumors and "news items" should I not miss? For example, I know that Ameiko plays a role in Jade Regent, so I am making sure to establish her character, even though we are skipping Burnt Offerings for Skinsaw.
I may instead be a player in future APs, so would prefer just the hints (if you want to explain the importance, please use a spoiler)!
What other things besides Ameiko being cool and having an adventuring past should I establish in Sandpoint, Magnimar, and beyond?

Crimson Throne - King Eodred Arabasti of Korvosa is sick. His young wife Ileosa is pretty, but not well regarded.
Shattered Star - The Pathfinders are establishing a Lodge in Magnimar under Venture Captain Sheila Heidmarch.

Shalelu the elven ranger appears in a few other APs, most notably Jade Regent. She is good friends with Ameiko and travels a reasonably large area.
Ameiko has a half-sister in Westcrown, Cheliax named Amaya (Council of Thieves). According to the Pathfinder wiki (source listed is NPC from each AP article in Song if Silver) they've met twice.
There are Vancaskerkins in several APs, most of them similarly of low moral character. Most notably, Orik's father Saul owns a gambling Hall in Riddleport (Second Darkness). His brother Verik is a somewhat disreputable member of the Korvosan Guard (Curse of the Crimson Throne). His good-aligned Uncle Damon operates in Trunau (Giantslayers). His disowned Varisian half-sister also operates in Magnimar (Shattered Star), but he might not know about her.
Didn't Saul Vancaskerkin's (first?) wife turn up somewhere? Or was it some other female Vancaskerkin? I'm AFB right now, so I'll have to go searching later for that particular detail.
