When the first RSP race boon came, it was supposed to cycle out in january 2018 when the new RSP came active. The Skinwalker boon's time was extended, though.
The new RSP boon for Aasimar/tiefling says that only games through 1.2.2018-31.1.2019 are valid. I've filled my own boxes a good while ago, but our newer GMs have no hope of filling in the rest of the games to qualify for the race boons.
Please extend the time during which you can collect games towards the boon. I think it's fair that no new RSP GM boon sheets can be started for aasimar/tiefling after january, but I don't see any harm in allowing GMs to continue collecting games to the old boon even after the new "RSP season" starts, if they've started it within the allocated original time.

Of course, every game you use to qualify for the previous boon puts you that much behind on the current boon, exacerbating the problem. It's the same issue as the summoner/aasimar/tiefling removals, just with a different grandfathering. Maybe it doesn't hurt anything to allow extra completion time, but I know we can't make everyone happy regardless.

No longer all that big a deal if you're sticking with PF1
Also, having longer to do it might incentivize more people in low play areas. If your group meets every other week you're looking at running games for 6 months straight without playing. So you say "i'll never dm that much..."

I'm currently scheduled to run three more games this month in order to complete the last tier of my aasimar/tiefling boon, but having a little more time just in case one of them doesn't fire would be wonderful! (And my family would thank you, because my wife has finished hers, but we have two kids who also play PFS regularly.)

Along the same discussion, will there be another RSP coming out next month?
Yes, there will be another RSP. We're hoping early February.
I wasn't sure given the end of PFS1 coming up.
Although there won't be any new scenarios released after August 2019 PFS1 is not ending. Many people have years of content that they can still play.

A new RSP will be nice, but it still doesn't help with the fact that new players (and more importantly, New GM's which are vital for sustaining the local communities) have slim chances to fill the quota if they started GMing, for example, in the fall. If the goal is to encourage Frequent GMing, the time limit could have been worded so that it's a "year from the date this RSP was issued." Tying it to a specific end date runs a bit counter to the goal, I feel, if the goal is to encourage people to try out and start GMing.
In addition, if the skinwalker was extended, why wouldn't this be?

There's taking the problem by reasoning with disbelief : Why the RSP as a motivation to GM ? If it's the only or main reason, there's a problem. Someone has to step up if there's players but not enough GMs, with or without the RSP.
I would say that takes the conversation towards a different tack: What can we do to get more GMs?
RSP is not the only reason for people to GM, but it is a nice reward.
Personally, (and I'm speaking only for myself) I would like something like the RSP as a reward for GMing.
I say like because I don't get to participate in the RSP as it is not allowed for the Organized Play Online group. That is something that needs to change. I also don't get to participate in the RSP when I run live games as neither of the places I run games has an active VO (which could be fixed if someone would get on the ball about that application).
Obviously the RSP is not my motivation for running games, but it would sure be nice to have. From what I've seen in conversations and in the boon trading threads, people really like to play different races. Having that as a GM reward seems to be pretty popular.

It's a very helpful and much needed nudge to get people started.

1) Giving RSP to online has some issues, so we've been brainstorming ideas. Keep an eye on next week's blog for our plans.
2) The dates listed on the boon are the "activation" dates, ie Jan 31 is the cutoff to start the boon. You must have checked at least one box by then to activate it. On Feb 1 a new RSP rotation begins with new boons. After 1 Feb, a GM can choose to check off a box on the 2018 boon (assimar/tiefling) or on the 2019 boon, but not both for the same game. Heck, you could still be checking off boxes on the 2017 boon as long as you started it prior to 1 Feb 2018.

Thanks for the clarifaction Tonya!
I was a bit worried since the boon actually says that
"Only Games GMed between 1 February 2018 and 31 January 2019 are valid", and decided it would be best to make sure, considering that the skinwalker too was extended beyond february 2018.
Thank you, I'll pass the info to our local GM's who are currently sweating over how to squeeze in the last couple of games (and a couple new ones who are thinking about starting GMing)!

At least when it was first introduced, there was the idea that organizers/RVCs would use RSP to highlight specific venues. So not necessarily even all FLGSs would be on RSP in a region, maybe only a few of them that the RVC felt needed a bit of a push.
I don't know how it's done in other regions, but that's not the approach we've taken in the Netherlands; we do RSP in all public venues that don't get full on Con support.
But it may be part of the reason RSP is a bit harder to do online; there aren't specific shops that you want to promote.

Removed some additional discussion regarding the Regional Support Program and online games as it's getting to be a derail off the original topic of the thread. If you need your text back to start a different discussion in a new thread, you can email community at paizo.com. However, please keep in mind that, as Tonya mentioned earlier, a blog post in the next week should have some additional information and details about the subject of online play and the Regional Support Program.
