Welcome to the world of Pathfinder.
Follow this LINK. It will lead you to the Flaxseed Lodge. It is a meeting place for PBP games. We even have our own venture critters, ie agents, lieutenants and a captain, who are all more than helpful and respond quickly.
The gameplay is where you can post in character dialogue with others in between missions and hang out. Picture a tavern of sorts.
Discussion tab is pretty much open for questions or any out of character conversation.
Recruitment is just that, where you go to seek recruitment. Also this is where most GM post there game sign ups.

Yes, the Flaxseed Lodge is a great place to get started with PBP, and we would love to have you join us!
I love the background that you have written for Gwendolyn, now all you have to do is get her formatted for PBP!
By the way, I'm Hmm, the Venture Captain of Play-by-Post. Welcome! Click my avatar for some information and key links for things involving PBP.

A keleshite woman with a tiger by her side walks in to hug Gwendolyn. "My name is Zahra! I am from Kat-a-pesh, and I am very friendly! I am a sorcerer, too."
She prestidigitates confetti into the air. "Never mind my baby, Pumpkin! He is very friendly, too! I vas Hmm's first character in Pathfinder Society. Let's see if ve can help you get oriented!"

If you click my avatar, you can see what a fully formatted Play-by-Post character looks like. My entire character sheet is there, including spells, skills, and gear. You can get your character formatted in BB code easily if you use HeroLab. Just export the character as BB code and cut and paste it into the 'about' space on the character form.
Don't have HeroLab? That's okay. Copy this PFS character template into your own google document, and edit it up for your own character. Then, cut and paste it into the 'about' space on the character form. This template can also be found in the PBP GM Kit (for Players too!)

Once you get Gwendolyn formatted for PBP, go ahead and do three things:
1) Post in the Gameplay thread of Flaxseed Lodge.
This will get Flaxseed Lodge into your campaigns, so that you can see when new games are announced.
2) Post in either discussion or recruitment for Flaxseed Lodge and explain that you are brand new to Pathfinder, PFS and PBP and that you would like to get into a game.
3) Meet the others in the Lodge and ask questions. We're a friendly bunch! This way, we can welcome you, and GMs who are starting new games can find a spot for you right away.

OK, as others have said before. I also sent into a PM for ease of finding for later.
That is the link for the Flaxseed Lodge where most games are posted. Go ahead and make a post within the gameplay thread so that it will link to your Campaigns tab.
The next link will help you to find your Campaign tab and setting up your character.
GM's will periodically post recruitment for games while posting a link to their sign-up sheet. Once the game is full the GM will then post a link to their gameplay thread so keep an eye out for both recruitment. Though generally if you post that you are new in the gameplay thread of the lodge a GM starting up a new game will keep a spot for you.
If you have any questions about anything at all make a post in the discussion thread of the Flaxseed Lodge and you should get an answer pretty quickly.

Sounds awesome! I will be sure to get in on the Flaxseed Lodge. How can I get my character properly formatted for pbp? I see that, above, Zahra posted a google doc character sheet template. If I were to fill that out for Gwendolyn, would that be sufficient?
Thanks all for your warm welcomes and friendly replies!
