Facebook's "People You May Know" algorithm has been hitting me for months with a young woman whose last name was the same as a friend I made in St. Louis. I finally messaged her. She's his daughter. She told me he passed away in October 2023 from a stroke.

Dan was a great guy and a fun person to play D&D with. I'm very sad to learn of his passing.

Fantasy Monster: Blasphemouse

If you found a hole gnawed in your holy robes, it might be its fault.

I got some really good news at one of my doctor's yesterday. Despite some indications pointing to Amyloidosis, she says I do not have it, at least not the inherited type. But we're going to do a couple more tests next month to look for one more thing.

Worry about this has been hanging over me like a burial shroud waiting to fall on my mind and spirit. I still have quite a bucket list of other issues, but none that are as serious as that. Thanks for all the good vibes!

Woot! I'm glad to hear that, that's fantastic. Must be an enormous relief.

It really is. There are still a couple of tests to go, but my doctor thinks they'll be fine, given what the latest results yielded.

Fantasy NPC: The Eternal tenants, A Ghost of A Peasant

Toiling on the fields when alive, toiling on the very same fields after death.

Fantasy Monster: Cheese Gremlin

Based on a heartbreakingly True Story.

Spoiler:
Well, at least when it comes to coming home with groceries and finding the Highlanders' cheese is missing...
