War for the Crown pawns

Did anyone else get the pawn set and think that a surprising proportion of the human-sized figures had the top millimetre or so of their heads trimmed off, or have I just got a poorly cut set?

Obviously I understand that there will be some losses, wings, weapons etc, especially on the bigger figures, but with humans surely they don't even be near the top of the die?

I had to get mine out and take a look. I see a few where the top of someone's hair is trimmed off - generally less than the millimeter you mention. Kalbio loses about half the hair about his hairline, and just below him, Lucrezia and Martella and Nenareen all lose some hair. And then Princess Eutropia, where losing the feathers probably doesn't matter too much, although the art is much nicer with them.

Of those, Martella is the only one that really detracts from the pawn because the cut is right at her hairline - I probably won't use that pawn because it makes her look like a bald man instead, and I wouldn't want my group to keep making annoying comments about it.

If you are missing considerably more tops-of-heads than that, yours are cut lower than mine. Hopefully this helps.

I think they used the wrong pawn for Martella: she's different than she appears in the AP... did they just swap her with the gal-caster that's two or three pawns to the left? (which they called 'Martella'?)

You're right, they've got Lieutenant Fanalxy and Martella Lotheed switched.

It appears that I'm not alone in unnecessarily loosing parts of some pawns. Mind you, I've been able to see an image from the pdf version, and the cuts are not meant to be that tight.
