Hello.
I know it must be a silly question which has probably been answered before, but talking to a friend this doubt arose.
When I pick a talent or sphere with an associated feat, do I have that feat for all purposes or only for fulfilling requisites? I mean, for example, if I pick the Dual Wielding sphere, do I get the effects of the feat when full-attacking?
Thank you in advance and sorry again if I'm being redundant.

Talents with associated feats only count as the associated feat for the purposes of prerequisites. Often there are excellent feats you might want to take in core that require a feat you would otherwise bypass since SoM works under the attack action paradigm, which is why we created associated feats. If you wanted the benefits of the Two-Weapon Fighting feat when full attacking, you would need to take the actual Two-Weapon Fighting feat.

I see, thank you.
What would happen then if I pick Dual Wielding and then use it to pick Improved Two-Weapon Fighting?
You would gain the extra off-hand attack during a full attack at a -5 penalty, and would not have the penalty reductions from Two-Weapon Fighting. So if your base attack bonus was +6 and you're wielding a one-handed weapon with a light weapon in your offhand, your attack bonuses would be +2/-2/-3/-12.

I was doing the above math on the go, pretty sure I double-added a -5 on that last attack and that should actually be +2/-2/-3/-7. The rest should be correct.
Associated feats are more intended to allow you to access options like Two-Weapon Rend, Two-Weapon Defense, and any other feats that involve building on a combat style like Dual Wielding but don't specifically require you to be using the full attack action (which most sphere abilities are intentionally not compatible with).
