Hi everyone! Planning out a character for an eventual group (typically 5 players), and was having issues deciding where I wanted to take it. PFS + Kineticists of Pyphoria books allowed. Things I'm sure of:
1. Kineticist starting with Water, cold blast
2. Would play a human
What I'm not sure about yet is where to go once it get's to level 7.
Void lets me stick to energy attacks (cold, negative, negative admixture, and subzero blast), but not that big a fan of a lot of the wild talents or the defense, but I would get a fly effect with gravity control.
Air gives me some great utility, some good aoe attacks, and an ok defense, but cold/electric doesn't have a composite, so would go air blast.
Earth give me a great defense, but not much else.
Any thoughts with build ideas?
Was toying with the idea of going light at 15th level for the mirror image and teleport fun, but that's a long ways off.
Have you considered going pure water? You could take the elemental scion class (kinetisicts of poryphora 1) which would allow you to have both cold and water blast at level 1
At level 7 you get +1to your DC's, as well as ice blast, and if you want, you can boost one of those simple blasts to d8s, if you do cold, that helps with your elemental damage, at level 15 you get some more bonuses, as well as upping all of your blasts 1 step, so now water blast is 1d8, ice is 2d8, and cold gets boosted d10s
At level 20, reduce all wild talents costs by 1, this is insanely good, 1 extra free point for all your blasts (composite for free with no gather power)
Kinetic healer-free
Spark if life-summin elementals non stop
Free
Tidal wave-free
It's a little broken, but it makes an excellent capstone xD
Air gives you the coolest option of having blizzard blasts. My money is on that.
I'll second going air and taking blizzard blast. As much fun as lightning is, having a physical blast on backup in case you run into something with high SR or immunity to your energy is probably a good idea. Plus celerity is something your whole party can enjoy while you enjoy flying forever and being able to be your own space suit.
