Bypass question

I have a question about the Mechanic ability Bypass. The first sentence says “You are skilled at getting inside computer systems and electronic devices.” One player maintains that this means that the insight bonus only applies to Computers and Engineer checks to perform those actions. Another player maintains that the insight bonus applies to all Computers and Engineering checks, including creating forgeries and arming explosives. I couldn’t find guidance elsewhere one way or the other. So, which do you think it is?

The bonus applies to all checks. The rest is flavor text, not a mechanical limitation.

Also, the rest of the sentences say "At 1st level, you gain a +1 insight bonus to Computers and Engineering skill checks. At 5th level, every 4 levels thereafter, and at 20th level, this bonus increases by 1."

So... that's what it does. A gradually increasing bonus to all computers and engineering skill checks.
