Private messages alert

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like private messages don't give any kind of notification or alert anymore. There used to be a red dot on the My Account link - which wasn't in itself high-visibility at all - but since one of the website updates recently, even that hasn't been appearing. Is this an issue for everyone, or just me?

I'm using the Paizo Forum Tools add-on with Chrome version 69.0.3497.100 on Windows 8.1, but it hasn't been showing up on my phone (Chrome/Android) either.

Reference this thread — short version is that it's a known issue, but the latest version of the Paizo Forum Tools extension actually has a work-around for it if you're using the Header Hider.
