I would like to petition the powers that be to add the repeatable tag to Skitter Shot. I could point out that it is the only 1-2 that is not repeatable, promotes additional play, good for new players...bla bla bla.
No I want it repeatable because it is a blast to run and play. I have played and run it multiple times and had a blast each time.
So if there any helpful Skittermanders at the Paizo office. The rules PDF is missing the repeatable tag and says something about it only being allowed to be played once. I believe this is a mistake and I need help fixing it.

I've now run Skittershot more than any scenario, its especially great for outreach events. A repeatable tag would make it easier to run at outreach events and conventions since minimum table size is absolutely an issue there.
I completely understand why it didn't get a repeatable tag, even without the tag I was sure we were going to get swamped with Skittermander PCs. But that hasn't happened, there's just so many cool playable races now that to choose from. I'd say there's more interested in playing Copaxi than Skittermanders.
Given warm but not overwhelming player response to the boon there may be little harm in letting players earn it more than twice.

You can run or play Skitter Shot as many times as you want. You just don't get credit for it.
You don't NEED credit for Skitter Shot more than twice anyway (once for GMing, once for playing, once for your skittermander, once for the +2 stat buff). The boon is too good to just keep giving out.
I have heard this a couple of times. What is so good about the boon that multiple copies causes a problem? I don't see it.

So what? If a player really loves playing Skittermanders and remains active enough that they're able to unlock more than 2 race boons, what's the problem?
Its been almost 18 weeks since the module was released. If Skittermander PCs were as popular as some people think we'd have parties full of them by now. Nearly every local SFS player has the Nufriend boon, but of the 7 games I've run so far in October the only Skittermander PCs I've seen were the pregens playing Skitter Shot.
Is anyone actually overrun with Skittermanders? Has anyone even run a game with more than one Skittermander PC at their table?

Well, it takes 24 checkboxes to get a Nufriend and there haven't been 24 scenarios released since Skitter Shot, so the only people with skittermanders right now are people who GM, who generally also have a number of other race boons that they also want to try out, or people who only started playing since Skitter Shot, who have been burning through the pre-SS backlog. For example, I am not going to have mine until Halloween (GMing Cries from the Drift that night), and I have been both playing and GMing.
I suspect that we'll see a lot more skitters fairly soon.
The point is that Paizo pretty clearly doesn't want to put race boons on repeatable content.

I'm of two minds on this. The first would be that I would love to be able to GM it more.
The second though is the thought that I don't like seeing evergreens run into the ground. One nice thing about Skittershot being the way it is is that it's mostly run for brand new people, for whom it can be fresh! The Skittershot boon also encouraged GMs to run DIFFERENT games. I loved this, because it means that I can play as well as GM Starfinder.
I had adored Gallows of Madness until I saw it being run into the ground by a couple of local GMs who were trying to get a bunch of characters to level 5. I don't want Skittershot to become run into the ground by GMs trying to grind the same things over and over.
So... I don't know which way to vote on this. While I would love for it to be repeatable, I'm afraid of seeing the game get spammed. On the other hand... If the next upcoming earnable race boon (maybe from Alien Archive 2) also encourages the GMing of different games, that might help prevent skittershot from being overrun.
Hmm
PS Given how long it takes to earn a Skittermander, I don't think that repeating the race boon is a problem at all.

As a frequent GM, not receiving a chronicle sheet every time I run this is a bit of a relief. I have a dozen PCs now, not because I want them all but because I need extra PCs to put chronicle sheets on and I don't like dumping them on number-only GM babies.
And yes its great that Skittershot is being run for new players. For a lot of events though, I've depended on having one or two existing players play in order to help reach a 4 player table. I've also played this for no credit.
For convention plays as a "welcome to Starfinder" game it'd be easier to recruit players to replay it so we can build a full party if they received credit for it.

In PFS, I stopped taking GM credit on characters because I didn't like making unplayed GM babies. With Starfinder though there is so little content for feeding characters that I usually take the GM chronicle if it's not a repeatable scenario. If it is a repeatable scenario, I still sometimes eschew the credit. I don't feel a need to create endless first level babies.
I believe in family planning!
Still, I am thinking of the overall ecosystem of playing. When I go online, I can always find an audience for the games that I GM, but in person it can be harder sometimes to find games as a player because some GMs will run the same repeatables over and over. One thing that I loved about Skittershot was that it encouraged GMs to gm different scenarios to get their prize.
And honestly, I'm not sure what I want here. Do I want to GM skittershot often, and always have tables make? Sure! But I'm also wanting Skittershot to stay surprising for my players when I GM it.
:/
(I know, not helpful!)
