I normally play martial characters, but my friends and I are starting a Crimson Throne, and I wanted to try out inquisitor. I love the dwarven pantheon, so i went with an inquisitor of Thrudd, strength domain.

We have a paladin, cleric, and ranger. I thought about trying to play the all round character, smash, shoot, or heal/magic dealer and intimidate in role play. Any help on how to progress my spells, because I'm not so familiar with them. Should I use my judgements fairly often or wait for a bigger bad guy? Thanks a lot.

Inquisitor is primarily a beat-down machine, and can compete with the best damage dealers. Their Bane and Judgement abilities are major damage bonuses, as is using Divine Favor and Divine Power if convenient.
Spells are more focused on utility, but some stand out. Blistering Invective is a useful spell for weakening whole packs of foes. Instrument of Agony is very nasty, and with a cheap Extend metamagic rod lasts long enough to hopefully cast before a Battle.
