are there any rules for custom built weapons

For weapons that already exist in the game. Was looking through some art on a site for some pc ideas came across one that looked pretty neat where the person is wearing leg gauntlets. And i was like hey kicking the s#$% out of people might be cool. So i am looking for any rules that says i can not engineer a pair of poles gauntlets into a pair of pulse boots for kicking.

It also sounds alot like deku now but hell the shot style is kicking too.

There are no rules for creating custom weapons.

So in a home game, it's a matter of asking the GM if they'll allow it. Maybe see if they would want you to take Improved Unarmed Strike before using pulse boots effectively, since otherwise leaving your hands free is a significant upgrade.

In an Organized Play game, it isn't a thing that can be done.

But you are not unarmed your are wielding a weapon in fact two weapons. Why would you need the feat "improved unarmed strike". If anything you would need twoweapon fighting if you were going to attack with both weapons.

There are no rules about this. I threw that out there as an example of the kind of ruling that MIGHT come back, since part of the feat is about fighting effectively with whatever part of your body, since you're talking about turning a weapon that requires your hands into one that doesn't.

The important part is not the example ruling. It's that the rule will be whatever your GM decides because there are no written rules to allow what you want to do. It can only be done by the GM deciding to implement a houserule to allow it.

Ohh okay. Only i could see is that if allowed that could mean one could also equipped one's hands that's an advantage. Isn't there a feat for mixing ranged and melee combat? I would most likely get that before running around in kicks and carrying a rifle. Thank for your input.
