Two questions about Psychic Duels.
1. Would a Mesmerist's Trick pool count for extra MP like Ki, or Panache would?
"When in a Mindscape, both participants' bodies become unresponsive. A creature adjacent to the body of a combatant can attempt to shake that creature out of its torpor as a standard action. Doing so is a melee touch attack that deals no damage but allows the combatant to attempt a new saving throw against the effect that started the psychic duel. If the check is successful, the mind of the roused creature returns to its body and the duel ends. A creature in a psychic duel can attempt no more than one additional save per round in this way."
From this reading, I have another question.
2. Does an attack against that creature give them another Save to break free? Or do they just automatically break free?
My thinking is that shaking them to wake them up MIGHT wake them up (with a will save), but an attack might just snap them out automatically.

1. It's up to the GM:
Generating MP from Select Class Features: As a free action, a combatant with an arcane, grit, ki, panache, or phrenic pool (or any other similar class feature the GM chooses) can spend points from these pools to generate MP at a rate of 1 MP per point spent.
2. The text doesn't specify whether regular attacks against a duelist can rouse them. By a strict reading, an unwilling duelist falling out of a tree wouldn't necessarily get a new saving throw to break free even if the motion is more vigorous than being shaken awake by their buddy. There's certainly room for GM extrapolation to such situations, though. I would not have the duelist leave the duel with no saving throw required, though (unless the triggering action dropped the duelist to 0 hit points, of course).
