Multiple Damage Types and Sap Adept / Master

Rules Questions

I'm hoping this is a simple answer that I just was not able to find. Can you use a weapon that has Bludgeoning and Piercing or Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing in conjunction with Sap Adept or does it have to be Bludgeoning only?

Any bludgeoning weapon will do, including one that also does other sorts of damage. Contrary to common sense, I know, but RAW just says "bludgeoning weapon" and that's all it means.

Yeah that word "weapon" is really annoying. The first iteration of this build was shot down because it was a Sarenrae non-lethal scimitar build using weapon versatility (not efficient at all, but I was looking forward to the flavor) on the grounds that while the scimitar was doing bludgeoning damage, it was not a bludgeoning weapon.

So now I'm working on a morningstar wielding beastmorph vivisectionist alchemist with feral mutagen.
