Just before making your attack, attempt a Bluff, Intimidate, or Stealth check (or a check associated with your specialization)
Daredevil
Associated Skills: Acrobatics and Athletics. You can attempt an Acrobaticscheck to make a trick attack.
Now, Athletics is an associated skill. Can you make a trick attack with it? or just the one they call out as being able tomake a trick attack with?

I'd say the latter, i.e. the skill specifically called out. Simply because specific > general.
With the Daredevil, there'd be little reason to generally use Athletics, just due to pretty much all of the Operative's abilities favoring Dexterity and it being a Strength based skill. You could I suppose build a Strength first Operative though, so I could see the potential appeal.
A less black and white comparison would be the Hacker Operative, whom gets Computers and Engineering with Computers for Trick Attack.
Quote: "Computers and Engineering. You can attempt a Computers check with a +4 bonus to make a trick attack by creating a computerized distraction (you can’t use this option if stripped of all computerized gear in an area with no computers)."
Both are Int skills so barring racial modifiers would be using the same modifier (as the Operative has no choice over placing ranks in them and both recieve free Skill Focus). However as a Hacker the concept builds around the idea of well... Hacking. (Daredevil is kind of the only one missing a little fluff description on how the alt Trick Attack works, so I can understand the question.) Computers makes sense, and if it were both it would remove the unique idea of Armory's Gadgeteer Operative.

You should be able to do either. All the other ones have that little blurb at the end because one of the skills get a bonus while the other doesn't. I'm guessing they edited out the +4 because they didn't want a dex skill with +4 (which is why ghost got errata'd) but left the rest.
