I am thinking up some ideas for after this campaign ends, and was considering a monster hunting sequence. I liked how the Wraith from Evolve looks and acts, and thought it would be a great monster. I haven't settled on a CR for it, but kinda worked out it's unique abilities.
Wraith (Evolve monster)
HUGE CE Aberration
HP: 70% of CR array Value
Cleave, Great Cleave
Bolstering Feast: Devouring a slain creature gives the Wraith temporary HP (upto 30 % of CR array Value). The wraith can transfer this matter to her hide, toughening it. While the wraith has temporary HP, it gains +4 to KAC and EAC (already factored into stats, equal to CR array value). Reaching maximum temporary HP returns 1 resolve point. (Tactics: If the monster it's armor and 10% of it's real hp and all PC's are fighting, it retreats).
Warp Blast: As a full action, the wraith surges in a line-of-effect up to 80 feet. At the end of it’s movement, it releases a disrupting blast dealing sonic damage with-in 15 feet. This ability recharges after 1d4 rounds
Dimensional Haste: The wraith creates a zone drawing energy from it’s native dimension, 40 feet in radius. While the wraith is in this zone, it is affected by a Haste spell, with an additional benefit: It’s full attack gains 1 additional attack, or it may as a full action make two great cleave attacks. This ability costs 1 Resolve point
Abduction: As a full action The Wraith briefly teleports to an enemy with in line of sight and line of effect, upto 120 feet away, then returns to it’s initial position. If the Wraith succeeds at hitting an opponents KAC+8, it does damage equal to it’s standard attack, and returns with the opponent. The opponent is placed adjacent to the Wraith in the same direction as the teleport. This ability recharges after 1d4 rounds
Decoy: Twice per day, The Wraith sheds dimensional energy, gaining the benefit of a mislead spell, with the following changes: The decoy uses the wraith’s standard attacks, and normal cleave, but deals half damage. A will save to realize this is an illusory decoy reduces this damage by half-again. The invisibility on the real wraith is broken if the wraith attacks. (I might drop this ability though.)
Is it too overloaded? What would be a decent CR for a level 12ish party? For those familiar, did I capture the essential parts of the monster?
