It was sad to hear this, but he had a long and good life.

R.I.P., Mr. Ditko. And thanks or giving me one of my favorite comic book super heroes, Dr. Strange.

This documentary - which even features performance art tribute by Alan Moore - is a good guide to Ditko's career. It's a shame they couldn't get that interview at the end (even with Neil Gaiman's help) but overall it's a pretty good documentary, even though Stan Lee is clearly ambivalent on their relationship.
