            Hello all,
I thought of branching out to try out VTR (2nd edition) and am currently planning a campaign with some friends. I bought the PDF and I am liking what I see so far.
A small point of confusion, what do I need other than the VTR 2e rulebook? In some places I see you need World of Darkness rulebook, and in others I see you don't. There are also multiple versions with different names that gets confusing.
Can I fully enjoy the game with the book I have now, or do I need more? If so, what do I need?

To be fair the Chronicle of Darkness book is still pretty handy to have around but you can play without it.
The Condition cards are very useful but you can make your own
So yeah you should be fine with just the core book
That said.
I really liked the 1st edition Covenant books, particularly the Invictus one. They are mostly still good with 2nd edition. Maybe a few mechanic parts that might need tweaking but all the background and info is fantastic. they give you so much insight into how each covenant works.
My main city is basically Invictus and Lancea with token presence by the other three.

VtR 2e is entirely self-contained. When you see World of Darkness Core referred to, it is talking about the 1e core book. Because of rebranding, the 2e core book is Chronciles of Darkness. It is very useful, but only necessary if you want to play a mortals game which Requiem is not. I'd still recommend picking up the PDF.
