Hi Guys,
I have come upon with a question that I could not find the answer to. I was hoping you all could help me. My game uses a grid map and recently some of the players have achieved flight. My question is how to count the flight movement in squares. What I mean is does going up and forward count as a normal diagonal movement that would be five feet for the first square and ten feet for the second. Or would it be more since its a diagonal forward AND a diagonal going up. Thanks!

It's normal diagonal movement; only horizontal movement is measured.
Going up is held to require more effort, so you do that at half speed (as per Fly skill), which also accounts for the greater 3-D distance; going down is held to require less effort, so you do that at full speed (as per Fly) despite the greater 3-D distance.
Hope that made sense. It's far from realistic, of course, but it keeps things simple.
