Amulet of Mighty Fists (Sharding), Wand of Touch Injection and Poison...

Rules Questions

Hi all,
I was wondering:

If I had the Sharding property on an Amulet of Mighty Fists, my unarmed and natural attacks could be performed at distance and "uses the same proficiency and otherwise functions the same as the original weapon"...

...and...

...unarmed attacks could be used instead of melee touch attacks...

...so...

...if I use a Wand of Touch Injection...

...would I be able to deliver poison with an increment of 10 feet range and an unarmed attack *ignoring* the poison onset?

I was thinking about it since well...seems a pretty expensive "setup to make", but with the right poison it could "pay off"...

So I was wondering:

Could be done?

I mean...by RAW? ...by RAI??

Skarm

This is really gonna be up to your GM By RAW the enchantment looks fine to me since it's melee or thrown weapon. The as if throwing without releasing line might cause some problems.

As to using Touch injection the following caveats may apply.

1.Getting to use unarmed strikes to deliver touch spells and substituting them for other touch attacks can be different, so I'm unsure if you can do this.

2. Making an unattached duplicate of the weapon likely means that the poison isn't in or on the duplicate, I mean I don't know if you can use sharding with any poison.

The sharding weapon special ability doesn't change the rules for delivering touch spells.

Admittedly, the rules here are a little vague saying only
"Alternatively, you may make a normal unarmed attack (or an attack with a natural weapon) while holding a charge"

Clearly, this is under the assumption that the attack with a natural weapon is an attack that is going to physically touch the target, like a claw or a bite. Whether a touch spell could normally be delivered by something like a manticores spikes or a lantern archon's light ray is something that isn't addressed, and whether that would work or not is the same circumstance whether your sharding would work or not.

Personally, I would rule that it would not work. A natural attack is an alternate way to deliver a touch, because it is an alternate way to be physically touching someone. The charge is in you, not the natural attack.
