Racial Feats for Dual-Edge Genesis - Advice?

Homebrew and House Rules

I'm working on some feats for some races that I made for a campaign of mine.
Among the feats is a group that I'm calling Racial Package Feats for now. These feats can only be taken at 1st level and are mutually exclusive with each other. The Drakon Racial Package Feats each boost three specific Mutations in certain ways.

Here's my plans for Drakon Racial Package Feats:

•Dragonhood: gain a dragon form, stronger energy breath, energy resistance, and natural attack enhancements.
•Atlas' Disciple: eventually increase carrying capacity to legendary proportions.
•Steed of War: grant benefits of mounted feats to those you are acting as a steed for, as well as enhanced means of attack.
•2 other Racial Package Feats.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Guys?

Steed of War will get you into murky territory, as you will have to make rule definitions for PC's acting as steeds beforehand. As for what Mutations Steed of War should boost, I would go with Quadruped, Feral, and Limber.

For the rest, I would suggest All-Beast (boosting Aquatic, Insulated, and Human Form), Sub-Nautical Terror (Aquatic, Strong Tail, and Limber), and Eight-Limbed Behemoth (Four-Armed, Quadruped, and Heavy Build).

You getting hung up on defining sentient steed rules?

I have an idea of how I'd rule it, I just haven't gotten around to write it down yet.

For one more possibility, dragons are also noted for their senses. "Well, thief! I smell you and I feel your air. I hear your breath." - Smaug, to an invisible Bilbo.

Done with sentient steed rules.

Now I don't know what mounted feats to have Steed of War grant. Any ideas?

I suggest looking at the ranger's mounted combat style.

Ok, I'll have Quadruped grant the mounted feats for Steed of war, but what about Feral and limber?

Maybe add rake and something else (I don't know what exactly) to Feral for Steed of War. I can't think of anything that would fit with Limber.

Perhaps someone else has a better idea than me.

Hello?

Any suggestions?

I made some changes to both Drakon races. I also came up with the idea that for Steed of War, the Feral Mutation treats the rider's weight as though it was less than it really is as well as increases to natural armor. What do you guys think?

Bump.

Anybody there?

Reducing the rider's weight wouldn't really fit with Feral. How about scaling down encumbrance penalties instead?

The racial changes seem fine, to me at least.

Okay, I'm down with that, but I don't know how quickly I should scale down encumbrance. Any suggestions?

Perhaps have Feral grant a +1 bonus to natural armor (on top of its own), increase the max Dex bonus for encumbrance by +1, and reduce the armor check penalty for encumbrance by -1 at 1st level and every four levels thereafter. In addition, at 9th level, medium encumbrance is treated as light encumbrance for the purposes of movement speeds, while heavy encumbrance is treated as medium encumbrance for the same purposes.

Huh, it seems like it's just you and me in this thread. I mean, there was Avr, but the best I could come up with for her idea was Aquatic, Insulated, and Feral.

HELLO! ANYBODY OUT THERE?

Bump!
