Suggestion for next year: Send us an email

My whole group missed the lottery and the first part of the open signup period because we didn't know they were happening. You have the email addresses of everyone with a convention ticket. Could you please send an email letting us know when lottery & open signups are happening?

I got my Email letting me know signups were open on May 3rd. Sure, it's a weekend after they opened technically, but for the lottery thats fine.

Interesting! Sounds like they at least tried to send emails but ran into some problems. No one in my group got one, and you got yours late (and yes I've already checked to make sure mine didn't get filtered).

I don't know if the different privacy settings in one's account settings (the settings that allow one to opt in to various Paizo emailings) would have affected the PaizoCon lottery opening email or not, but if so, it's possible your privacy settings could have prevented that email from being sent to you. Personally, I've opted in to all of the Paizo mailings and I've never felt I've received too much, anything unwanted, or anything I'd consider spam.

Good thought, from a troubleshooting standpoint, but if that's what caused it then they need to do a better job categorizing their emails. Opting out of marketing emails shouldn't stop me from receiving information regarding my purchases.

I suppose I'll sign up for marketing emails just to see if I get anything PaizoCon-related in the next few weeks.

My understanding is that its not previously been transactional because we send it out to a general list as people who have not bought tickets yet may also want to know about event sign up stuff. I have let the person who sends out these emails know and we can keep this in mind for next year.

I would like to see priority event registration for those who bought their tickets early so we don't end up with 2 of 4 days walking around begging DMs during their breaks.

Did you get this e-mail?

I have not received any e-mail about Paizocon, and I am signed up to receive e-mail from Paizo (I get the weekly e-mail, and in my "privacy settings" here on the site everything is checked except for the boxes under "partners"). I've checked my spam folder going back through mid-April. I did sign up for events, as I check this forum frequently, but am concerned there may be other information I am missing out on.
