(New SFS member) Help me understanding Organized Play

Starfinder Society

Hi guys! First of all, I apologize if my English is not the best in here, but since it's not my mother language I could do some mistake while expressing myself.

Ok, I'm bringing SFS organized play in my hometown and I read the SFS Guide file to get the basic elements I need to do that, but I'm pretty sure I lost something on the way. I tried searching more specific informations about my doubts in this forum but I couldn't succeed, so I think I'm going to ask by myself:

1) What happens if pc A shoots 2 bullets during a session and then it arrives to the following one? Does he automatically regains the bullets he shots before or not? It may seem a stupid question but I need to be damn clear to my players.

2) Does selling items work as written on the Rulebook? aka items can be sold at 10% of their original value, while trading good can be sold at 100% of their value.

3) Does "Day Job" work as on Core Rulebook? aka, it takes a week (7 Downtime) to earn that amount of money.

4) Does buying items between two different session require Downtime?

For the moment these are my questions. Thanks to whoever will answer. :)

1) Bullets are lost. Theoretically pathfinders should track every bullet bought and sold. Realistically, just buy a bunch of ammo every once in a while.

2) Selling items is rather irrelevant for starfinders. The credits you earn by on the chronicle sheet represent found and sold loot so the math has already been done for you.

3) No. Dayjob Works as described in the guide, which is you earn twice your result on credits on a profession check. So if i have Profession Gym Teacher at +10, and i roll an 11 thats 21. I get 42 credits.

4) No. You can always shop between sessions. CRAFTING something like custom clothing requires downtime.

The Exchange 1/5 5/5 ***

1) The bullets are expended as fired. As are charges from energy weapons.

2) Yes

3)You get twice what you roll on a D20 + your profession skill modifier. (Example (D20 roll 16 + 14 profession skill Mechanic)x2 = credits from Day Job.

4) Not sure what your asking here, but. Characters who buy or sell anything over 50 credits need to record it on their chronicle sheet or an inventory tracking sheet.

Thanks for the quick answers guys :)

In this precise point I meant the equipment PCs already have. For example, I don't need my sword anymore, so I sell it for 10% of his price - I meant this, I wasn't precise enough sorry :)

Eyup. That goes for 10%

It is assumed that the time between scenarios is kinda nebulous, ie. not defined, so Day Job rolls have been simplified to be "once per Chronicle", without any regard to how much time actually passes in the game world.

If you buy stuff between sessions, just mark it down and when you get your next Chronicle, mark the credits spent there. It doesn't take any time as such in the game world, but spending the credits and what they were spent on needs to marked down.

Except that recharging batteries is free if you have access to a ship, etc.

Yes you are correct. The charges are still expended when fired and should be tracked like bullets, which is what I was getting at.

Since I'm also starting as a SFS GM soon, I thought it makes sense to ask in this thread rather than creating a new one.

So, is there anywhere that we can find updates on the guide? Such as:

1) Official info on how recharging batteries from a ship works

2) Official errata, such as the new Starship Combat DCs

3) anything else you can think of that I should know

Thanks in advance!

Plug. Charge.

Any equipment a PC owns that comes with a battery is automatically recharged to its full number of charges between scenarios. The same applies to any individually purchased batteries a PC owns. It is assumed that PCs have access to free recharging stations within the Lorespire Complex or from their starship.

Scroll up to blog

2) Official errata, such as the new Starship Combat DCs

Starfinder PCs are WAY more durable than their pc counterparts. YOu don't need to worry about a stray crit downing them or dropping to zero keeping them out of the fight for the next hour. Light em up! They'll get knocked down. And get up again.
