Benefit(s): While you’re adjacent to an ally who also has this feat, you gain a +2 competence bonus on a single attack roll, saving throw, ability check, or skill check as an immediate action. You must choose to use this ability before making the roll.
I am assuming that this feat is once per round. It is poorly worded and doesn't specifically say.
...as an immediate action...
It's an immediate action (which are swift actions when done on your turn) - so as long as you have a swift or immediate action available you can use it.
