Persona rules

Advice

I was thinking of using this new ruleset for a monk's dojo in a game I'm running (Hell's Rebels). What do you think? What is its upside vs. its pitfalls?

Or is there a better rule set for this sort of thing?

I read this thread title and immediately got "I'M A SHAP-SHIFTER . . ." in my head. Now it's in yours, too. : )

Honestly I think the rules are too 'just roll the dice.' For me they would take what would be a fun roleplaying expirience (building up a following etc.) and changes it into accounting.

Obviously tastes vary, but I'd prefer a GM just decide based on my and the other characters actions and abilities how the world reacts without measuring everything and assigning points here and there. I do think though that even then those rules are useful for ideas of things a character can do or try to inspire others to do('operations etc.')
