Bill Cosby has been found guilty of 3 counts of Aggravated Indecent Assault today. What are your thoughts?

I once really admired Bill Cosby. Loved his records, his books, his television shows. I am very let down by someone I had thought for so long was one of the good guys.

This is sad. I grew up watching the Fat Albert cartoons. I now have no respect for him, npw. For him to lecture kids on moral behavior, and then go and do the very things that he's told kids not to do smacks of hypocrisy.

The material he produced is not attached to his criminal acts. Does the material educate and/or entertain on its own merits? If so, it remains valuable for having done so in spite of the person behind them rather than because of him.

I see your point. But I'm still sad. This is like, in my opinion, learning that Mr. Rogers was a tax cheat.

I can imagine Mr. Rogers not so much cheating taxes as lecturing any IRS auditor or investigator into submission.

Sad and disappointed to learn that he was a rapist, but I'd accepted that quite awhile back.
Given that, happy and somewhat surprised he was convicted, especially after the earlier trial deadlocked.

I agree, which is why I used him in comparison. What Cosby did, I feel, was a betrayal of some deeply held beliefs that I've had since childhood.

I agree It is pretty tragic. It didn't shock me as much as I am quite sure that most people are deeply flawed. Despite that he was on very far down the list for me to expect him of doing something like this.

Kind of wonder if he did all the charity work to ease his conscious or if it was like his one concession eh.. you know actually I would be reasonable interested in reading a psych evaluation from him but I suppose I'm wasting my time trying to guess what was going on in his head.
