Problem with placing a order.

Hello Paizo store customer service, I have a problem. I was trying to buy the third volume of War for the Crown (The Twilight Child), and when I have everything ready, I click on Place Order and nothing happens. Literally speaking nothing happens. The little rotating wheel appears and vanish after a few seconds. And this has happened even after entering my card info again when he ask me for the security number (the one behind the card). And this has happened before when I try to buy other stuff and is annoying. Any help please? Also, have you thought about using other webpages to sell your stuff like Drive Thru Rpg? Thank you for your attention and I will await for your answer.

Hello Emilio,

Your card is being declined due to failing the address verification system. Usually this happens when the billing address attached to the card does not match what the bank has on file.

Hello again, sorry to bother you all again, but I changed my adress (I have 2, one for mail (normal mail) and my house one) and I still seem to have the same trouble. Did I mess up my adress again (to be honest, the zip code change a bit ago), or is a different issue now? Also, when I type my card number does it use spaces between the numbers or is all in a row (This xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or this xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx)? Because I feel I might be typing something wrong, and I feel kind of like a fool.

Again, sorry to bother you all again, and I will await your answer.

Hola Emilio,

I am seeing the same thing with the attempts today, address verification failure. The card number itself is not causing the issue. Our card processor is seeing a difference between the address your bank has and the one on the card here on the site. I don't see anything on the address that jumps out at me as being obviously incorrect, like something being in the wrong field or something like that. If there was a zip code change that could be the issue. I can try it with the other zip code for you, I will just need to know what it is.

Ok, I tried using a second card I have (I have two, one for my home country and one for another country) and changed the adress to the original zip code, and still nothing, with both cards and all adresses. Cant you try to try out all the adresses I have in my account and see what seems to be the problem, because Im starting to get annoyed at the possibility of not being able to buy something in this website (seriously, doesnt Paizo have other place online where I can buy the books?)

Again, sorry for bothering you all, and Im grateful for you are trying to help me. I will await your answer.

Hello Emilio,

The new card is getting a different decline. The decline we are getting on the new one is, "Insufficient funds."

Dark Archive

Yeah, I kind of expected that from the second card, need to put some money in it. But the problem is not the adress anymore? That means that the adress issue is fixed?

Customer Service Representative

Hello Emilio,

Not necessarily. When you try to submit an order our card processor tells your bank, "Hey, I'm going to want to charge this card this much later. Will it go through?" What happens with the address is your bank says, "Yes, it's a good card. Here is the information." and puts the money aside so it will be available when the charge comes through. This is an authorization. Then our card processor compares the information and says, "Oh, this information doesn't match! We can't accept this because it might be fraudulent!"

What is happening with the new card is our processor asks the bank about the card like above but instead of saying yes the banks says, "No, it won't. There aren't enough funds." So it never gets to the point where our card processor tries to match the information. So the decline we are getting is 'Insufficient funds' but that doesn't mean the address issue is fixed.

Problem solved!!! Thank you so much, I was finally able to buy the book. Thank you so much for your patience and advice. Apparently I had to use my old card and the old adress (Note to self, just stay with one card).

Again, thank you for your patience and help.
