Here is my work in progress Campaign Handbook, love to hear any feed back.

Seems like a good start - I'm doing the same, creating my own setting guide, but it's intended for publication, and I will have a fleet variety of ships, stations, planets, star systems and more. Mine is Japanese horror, though - I have my own thread on this homebrew page for it. But yeah, you have an interesting start with the nexus between the 4 systems.

I like the weapon accessories, under barrel grenade launcher, and automatic weapon rules. I'll talk to my group and see what they say about implementing something similar.

Are undead affected by Necrotic damage? What is Profane damage?

The autofire rules in the book are clearly written by people who have no experience with automatic weapons. I got to fire automatic weapons in the service and we were specifically trained not to simply empty the magazine in one long wasteful stream of bullets.

Undead are healed by necrotic damage.

Profane damage is infernal/demonic energy.

Me too, I was in the service with the fully auto M-16, but trained to fire in controlled bursts. Agreed with your point of view on this.

I like your start. I have a few questions.

Is your setting designed to fit within the core Starfinder assumptions (i.e., the Gap and the relationship of the various of planes of existence) or does it have a completely different cosmology? You might consider clarifying this somewhere.

Do you plan to have it part of the Milky Way galaxy or in a different one? When you say the Old Empire ruled the galaxy, was that the whole galaxy or part of it?

I posted some homebrew weapon augments and such over here (as game-printer knows) if you're interested.
