Who in Golarion has stayed true to Aroden?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

This is a plea for resources containing individuals in the world that have stayed true to Aroden despite his death.

I'm building a character concept based on a follower of Aroden who has been on a pilgrimage to speak with those who have refused to turn away from the Last Azlant. I was curious if anyone can point me to specific references that I could look up or read into about the happenings of those who have remained faithful.

Any and all help is appreciated!

Nobody?

That's disappointing . . .

So far, in my research, I've found that there are three priests keeping the faith of Aroden semi-alive in Old Korvosa, as well as a weak faith that remains within Andoran.

Does anyone know of any other locations where one or more followers of Aroden still exist? Or, at the least, there would still be some that remember Aroden's faith when it was very much alive over a hundred years ago? I figure Kyonin would be one of these, as the elves are long-lived, though the faith obviously had no real significance to them, since Aroden was the god of human civilization.

I don't have details to give you, but look for Human-derived Dhampirs. They live as long as Elves, and a subset of them would have reason to have taken up the faith.

One of the PFS quests in Honors Echoes took place in Aroden's church in Taldor. There was some priests there.

Maybe in Westcrown Cheliax? There is an old temple. In Absalom you got old worshipers too. You can expect some of them in Lastwall probably, in the Knight of Ozrem. There is still the Queen Lich of Geb who was once his champion or consort I don’t remember.

For a mechanical standpoint may I suggest an Occultist, maybe Reliquarian? It seems to fill what you want in roleplay pretty well. He would be tracking old relics of Aroden.

You might want to look into the Harbingers of Fate - a secret society that believes that they can bring Aroden back to life if they force a book of prophecies to come true.

Folks that still worship Aroden at this point are both really rare and usually have a screw loose.

I vaguely remember something about an elderly half-elf that still keeps the faith, though I don't remember where where I saw it.

We published an article about Aroden in Pathfinder #100, but to be honest, we've NOT done much more with him specifically because the fact that he's moved on and is gone is such a core, underlying principle of the setting's themes and history.

The good news is that this pretty much leaves the concepts you're hoping to explore with the character fully open to you and your GM to develop as you see fit with pretty much zero chance of us some day publishing something to contradict you. ;-)

I thank you all for the suggestions! There are some awesome ones in here that I'll definitely be including within his story.

I own AP #100, and I do intend to use information from there in building his character, so thanks for that, too! I was incredibly excited back when you good folk decided to include it in the book.

I appreciate the replies and help everyone!
