Shadow Conjuration, would this be allowed?

I have had a character idea floating around in my head for quite a while now that I am thinking about beginning to play, but before I do, I thought I would come here and ask if one of the ideas I had for the character would be legal.

The character idea is an illusionist sorcerer with the undead bloodline, where all of their illusions are dark/creepy/morbid/undead themed.

The question is...with Shadow Conjuration, would I be allowed to say mimic Summon Monster to summon a standard dog (or whatever other legal monsters are allowed), but have it visually appear undead, or at least super creepy/emaciated? Using only the listed stats for a dog, etc. of course.

Not trying for any kind of mechanical benefit, purely a thematic effect.

In my opinion: undead-looking no, sick and creepy yes.

What with the "no re-skinning" rule, some people could argue that you were trying to make the enemies confused about the creature type or something.

But as long as everyone can know it's just a dog (or whatever), make it look as creepy as you want.

You may need the skeletal summoner feat for that trick.

I'll just stick with making them as creepy as I can without needing extra feats. I would never be able to qualify for the Skeletal Summoner feat as I have the character designed, and I don't want them to become an actual necromancer...just an illusionist that people think is one.
