Convention boon question

I picked up an interesting boon at a con involving

an interesting new group:

The Scarab Sentinels

and I am curious how/if it interacts with the retirement of the Scarab Sage faction. Is there any information about that?

You can keep boons from your character's former retired faction, but not gain (in this case, spend Prestige on) any new ones. You can become a [redacted] if you qualify and are currently a member of the Scarab Sages. You keep the boon and its benefits when you change to another faction.
