Glancing the new pact worlds book I noticed the sword canes have bleed damage when crit. What's the duration? Until it's treated or they die? or what.

Also I noticed the sword canes advancement is a little weird for the lower levels.

it's
Sword cane, tactical 1d4 with 1d3 crit bleed
Sword cane, advance 1d4 with 1d4 crit bleed
Sword cane, ultra thin 2d4 with 1d4 crit bleed

should the advance be errata'd 1d6? or is bleed just that good that an added chance of extra bleed is worth it.

My operative is a butler for a politician envoy, so I've been playing this Alfred from Gotham type character and the sword cane seems like an obvious dumb weapon.

Bleed damage continues until a character makes a successful Medicine check or regains hit points by any method. Barring those two interventions, bleed damage doesn't have a duration and continues indefinitely.

No need to change anything. You want to make the Sword Can the goto melee weapon of choice?

With how hard it is to deal with bleed now, there is no need to make it more deadly.

i would have liked a d6 at higher level but its still pretty neat :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be d6. There's no other weapon that advances in critical effect but not damage, and a d6 seems to be about where I'd expect a level 4 operative melee weapon to be. We don't have any baseline, just a jump from 1d4 at level 1 to 2d4 at level 7.
