Vigilantes in Hell's Rebels

Hell's Rebels

So the Vigilante class was released after this AP but on paper seems a good fit for it

However should there be any alterations to the rebellion rules as a result?

The only thing I can think of is that the Vigilante persona would not provoke any notoriety penalties until it is know that they are working with the other suspected revolutionaries?

Or is it irrelevant as any anti-Thrune action will be seen as connected to the Ravens? And if it is this is there any real unique benefit to being a Vigilante (beyond the pure mechanical abilities) ?

It's absolutely perfect for this game. A lot of the persona stuff will end up working for most of the city by mid-levels. All of the critiques of Vigilante abilities working in a single location are moot here, while they'd be a problem with globe-trotting murder hobos. And their disguises are very difficult to penetrate. The players have had a lot of good-natured fun trying to penetrate their disguise.

I've never been able to wrap my head around why vigilante players would keep their social identities secret from their closest allies. Best I can figure is they don't want their allies tortured into revealing who they are? Eh, to each their own.

Oh, and Lanathar, "Safe House" is a must-have in this AP. Scrying protection for an area from level 7 is a godsend.

Thanks

I imagine there are several talents that would be worthwhile in this AP that wouldn’t work as well in others . Perks of the location

She's keeping her parents safe--a classic use of the secret identity trope. And she just came out to one of the PCs... her crush, of course.
