2 Cohorts in the hunter deck

Rules Questions and Gameplay Discussion

Ukuja says choose two cohorts for each scenario from the hunter class deck.

So the way I see cohorts working is that you take them add them to your first hand. However with this class character I pick two so does that mean I have my hand plus the two cohorts? This also brings into question do I or can I play both cohorts during my turn or do I have to discard one? If I don't have to discard one does that one go into my deck?

Yes, cohorts are added to your hand after you draw your starting hand. After that, v they are a card in your hand just like any other card. If you don't do anything, you will be over hand size at the end of your turn. So, you'll want to play some cards. Nothing in the rules prohibits you from playing two cohorts in a single turn.

Thank you! Last question can I choose leryn as one of my two since it says owner:Adowyn im guessing not.

Actually, you can. If Ukuja says to use 2 cohorts from the class deck, then that is without restriction.

I hate to bug you again but not much info about Ukuja. When the power says "When you defeat a bane with the animal trait and would banish it, you may draw it instead "

Does that mean I'm drawing monsters I defeat that are animals?

It also says"you may discard a car that has the animal trait" insert doing something.

Does that mean that if I am drawing monsters from the game as they go into my hand that if I discard them they go into my discard pile or do they go back into the box?

They go into your discard pile, so potentially you're gaining hit points as you defeat monsters. :-D

Yep, defeat a Hyena, draw it. Discard it for your power (or as damage), end of turn recharge it into your deck with your other power.

Ukuja will cheerfully use everything as long as it's an Animal.
