Destroyed Drone?

Rules Questions

Can't seem to find this.

If my drone is destroyed (Construct reduced to 0 HP), can I repair it? Or do I need to make a new Drone?

The drone is not destroyed when it is reduced to 0 hp, per page 74 of the Core Rulebook:

"Like most constructs, a drone cannot recover from damage on its own. If a drone is reduced to 0 Hit Points, it becomes inactive until it is restored to 1 Hit Point or more. If a drone takes damage from a single attack equal to or greater than its maximum Hit Points while it has 0 current HP, the drone is destroyed."

So a drone that has actually been destroyed would need to be replaced per this rule: "If your drone is ever destroyed or lost, you retain its mind and all its subroutines in your custom rig and can replace its body for free using your custom rig after 24 hours of uninterrupted work."

But a drone that is merely inactive from being reduced to 0 hp could still be repaired per this FAQ.

Awesome. Thank you very much.

Admittedly, depending on your build and how much resolve you have, it might actually be *quicker* to rebuild it than to repair it to full. . .

As an aside, how much bulk does a destroyed drone have? I don't think the game lists bulk for character either, which would be useful if bulk applies to the Drone Riding Saddle.

So far, in our games, the Drone has only been destroyed once and the GM didn't mind players being able to carry the drone back to the ship in a non-combat part of the adventure.

No rules as yet, just like there is no rule covering the bulk of a human. People have tried to apply the "1 bulk = 10 pound" guideline, but I think that's really an unintended kludge.
