2018 Regional Support Program question

So with the new RSP we got a new GM race boon to work towards, however, many of us have not yet earned anything from the 2017 boon as we only had 8 months. I am assuming when you GM SFS you can choose which boon you progress. Does everyone have the same understanding?

There’s a new Starfinder RSP boon? I got boons for a new site last week and the Starfinder GM boon was the same. In fact, it says it runs from August 2017 to January 2019.

The RSP boons are not really spoiler information. In fact, we want people to know what they are so it encourages more participation in OP. To clarify some points, the 2017 SFS GM boon was listed as "GM Incentive #1" and involved legacy races. The 2018 SFS GM boons is listed as "GM Inventive #2" and involves the Elebrian race.

Approved locations could no longer issue boon #1 after 31 January 2018, but if you already earned that boon and checked at least one box of credit, you can continue to progress on that boon. Of course remember that any credit you report on this sheet is one less that can be applied to the current boon. Individuals will have to weigh that choice for themselves.

Beginning 1 February 2018, the new GM boon can be issued at any qualifying event. You must have at least one recorded credit on that sheet by 31 January 2019 or it will become invalid.

Because the SFS component for RSP started so late in the season, it was decided to continue using the same player boon ("Relics of Lost Golarion") in 2018, so the player boon did not change.

If your event is not currently supported by the RSP program, you are encouraged to discuss the issue with your local Venture-Officer team.

I’ve contacted my RVC about getting the new SFS GM boon. (That’s what was throwing me off, I got the 2017 boon in a package last week and didn’t know there was a new one.)

I really would prefer the 2017 boon myself. I applied in 2017, but apparently getting approved is... tough.

This isn't that great of a boon, I already have two copies of it given the 10% chance of earning one per night.

It'd be great if additional SFS RSP boons could be available for players to choose from, just like PFS. Something as simple as an SFS analog to PFS RSP #3 (resurrection with loaned fame) would be very popular.
