Into the Unknown and Fame / Reputation

The adventure says on page 6 that there are no Boon Slots available for the adventure.

According to the OP Guide, if you don't slot a Faction Boon you cannot earn Reputation.

However the Chronicle clearly shows Reputation being awarded.

What are we missing please?

You didn't read the chronicle sheet properly.

Before beginning a different adventure, calculate your rewards for this Chronicle sheet based on the table below. You can assign the Reputation to any faction that you possess a Champion boon for.

You assign the reputation / fame at the start of the adventure you sit down to play, after you are done with the quests :)

True but you would still record the Fame/Reputation on the Quest chronicle for the faction the character has a champion boon for, not on the chronicle of the next adventure.

That language says that a player does not have to determine the final rewards for the quest right way. A player could player 3 parts on day 1 of con and then play the other two on day 2 of a con and thus earn full rewards.

The player could also play 3 parts on day 1 and then play a different adventure on day 2. At that point, the player would get the rewards earned for playing 3 parts.
