The DC to hack a computer is 13 + 4 per computer tier; for a drone, just like a ship, the tier would be half its level.
While the Computers skill doesn't specifically mention it, the Hardened AI drone ability specifies that it applies against attempts to control it or direct its actions... so I would assume that these are things a successful hacker can do to drones, turrets, robots and other such systems.

Why do you think it's simply half its level? It seems.... odd that the drone's will save isn't relevant to the DC, nor its WIS based skills (Perception, Sense Motive), and we're talking about a creature, not an object - drones don't have hardness, for example. They're not even mindless, although they are apparently (?) unliving. I agree that if it does work like a computer, half its level makes sense as a guess, but it's definitely not a computer in other apparently important ways, as well - for example, the mechanic physically can't have two drones operating at once, even though a computer could simply be duplicated, implying some interactions with the custom rig that make me unwilling to assume it works just like a computer.

Will would apply against spells or abilities that directly inflict control without interacting with the skill system. The standard DC to hack is going to be far higher in almost every instance than a DC based on the target's Will.
You could houserule that Will can be added to the standard hacking DC for a sapient target like a drone, but that's not in the rules as written, and would result in basically impossible hacking DCs.

Agreed, but can you point to any rules as written for hacking a mechanic's drone? I haven't found any, including whether or not to count it as a computer of a given tier.
Mind-affecting spells definitely seem to work on Drones just fine - they're INT 6 base, not - - which is weird in and of itself, but it just continues to make me skeptical that they use the hacking rules for tiered computers. Even if they were mindless, which they're not, can they be hacked? I'm not aware of generic rules for hacking a technological construct.

I believe FUTURE Modules will include hacking attacks (and rules for) vs drones as there is nothing about it now... also Drones are Constructs per page 74 CRB (construct with the technological subtype for purposes of spells) so have construct immunities ... (wich includes MIND AFFECTING Spells) (page 153 of Alien Archives)
