So what are the current Races without needing a boon sheet to be legal. I want to register the lvl 1 Kitsune Druid I made but last I read several years ago you needed a boon sheet for them honestly it was very off putting to me to even buy the game till about a month ago.
Currently, without a boon, you can play any of the Core races, kitsune, tengu, nagaji, wayang, ifrit, oread, undine, and sylph.
So go ahead and make your kitsune druid!
The current Guide always lists which races are open to creation without a Boon.

Hello new person
Races. Races are a little more narrow, limited to those in the core rulebook, Oread, Slyph, Ifrit, Undine, Tengu, Nagaji, Wayang, and Kitsune. Other races have been legal before, and there are boons (special certifications) that open up more, so you may see some even weirder pathfinders in your group.

thank you peoples, I appreciate it.
I keep seeing conflicting information on this. In some places I read that you need a boon to play an elemental race (I was planning on playing an ifrit) but in others like this it says I don't. What's the verdict as of 2019?

Ifrits are still legal! You were probably finding old posts from when they weren't. The legal races are still all the Core races, kitsune, tengu, nagaji, wayang, ifrit, oread, undine, and sylph.

Also, the method for finding out what is legal without a boon hasn't changed...download the latest guide, and have a look at the character creation rules in it.
I wasn't sure because I'm new to Pathfinder society and I've usually had free reign to play whatever so I just wanted to make sure it was ok before I built the character. Thanks!
