I don't know if this if in the right section, if it's not - my apologies.
I'm quite stuck on the witch - regarding the hexes.
If I check the table from the Witch Class - it would suggest that at level 1,2,4,6,8 you can choose a hex. At level 10 a hex and a major hex. At level 12,14,16 another "common hex" and at level 18 a hex and a grand hex.
But when I read the text "Major Hex: Starting at 10th level, and every two levels thereafter, a witch can choose one of the following major hexes whenever she could select a new hex." it would suggest that level 10, 12, 14, 16, (18 and 20) can be a major hex (or just a normal hex if you'd prefer). And level 18 and 20 can be a normal, major or grand hex. So just 1 hex at level 10 and 18.
Could anyone help me out on this? Thanks in advance!

At every even level (plus 1st)you can choose a hex. Initially, you can only pick from the normal hex list. Starting at level 10, the major hex list opens up. You only get one hex at 10, but it can either be a "normal" hex or a major hex. Majors remain an option from then on, so at 12, 14, 16, etc. At 18 the grand hex category is now open, so you can pick from any of the three categories for 18 and 20. Still only one new hex at 18.
The table is simply indicating when the new categories open up.

The table is confusing because the witch description uses "major hex" for two different things.
You do not gain a major hex at 10th elvel, you gain the Major Hex class feature, as detailed in the class description. Said class feature does not itself grant a hex, it only expands the list of options for the Hex class feature.
Likewise with Grand Hex.
