Optimising shell of succor

Advice

Hello all.

So I'm making a restoration spirit shaman with the witch doctor archetype (yes I know channeling is subpart but I wanted to try it and our elven war party is very glass cannonesque so bolstering hp seems like the way to go).

I took the shell of succor hex and I really like the forcefieldy feel it has. I'd like to slap on some more effects on there when I perform it but I can't seem to find spells items or feats that boost giving temp hp.

I'm already planning on taking split hex at 10 in order to double forcefields , I just wish I could put on a small buff somewhere in there or something. Does anyone know something that helps with a temp hp build?

Imma give this a bump, then I'm going to assume that such things dont exist and then be sad about it :)

I had the same idea so Ive been looking around and only found the lifesurge weapon ability. Its kinda meh. So I would look for synergy instead of combo. For example powerful heal over time could synergize well since it then get time to heal while the force field takes the brunt.

I agree with you but honestly after gaming it for a couple of games I gotta tell you, nothign compares to that forcefield.

Do you know ho wmany on hit effects there are in this game? In 1 fight I was immune to the following:

-Stunning Blow (from a monk)
-Poisoned Dart
-Exploding crystal thingamagig that made people confused if they took damage
-Grab

And there's a ton of other effects out there that are ''on hit''. Enhancing the hp given seems to be the greatest thing there is. For right now I slap my bodyguard familiar on top of the mainliner and channel shell of succor through him. The best thing to get seems to be: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/rods/rod-of-potent-hexes/

But not a lot of DM's would allow it to work with the shell.

Once you hit 11th level your familiar can get In Harm's Way with the protector archetype, so you can just drop a shell on them and use them to soak up enemy hits.
